Spectra7 is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on individual with a passion for excellence and innovation to join the team that is responsible for the design and development of the Company’s high speed datacenter products. The ideal candidate is self-directed, highly accountable and has the ability to work well in a fast paced environment. This position reports to the Vice President of Datacenter Products and is located in Little Rock, Arkansas. 

Responsibilities

  • Design, Develop, Test, and Troubleshoot the necessary tooling and processes for manufacturing of multi gigabit modules for use in high speed datacenter products.
  • 3D modeling and updating of multiple tooling components within a final product and make changes as needed.
  • Create 2D Component drawings that will be sent to suppliers and used for incoming inspection criteria.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to eliminate waste and create efficiencies using six sigma practice and principles.
  • Travel as needed to have face to face meetings with customers, or internationally to help support production ramp up and training.
  • Leadership to help solve delays and issues from project initiation all the way to mass production.
  • Constant communication with multiple teams including engineering, marketing, operations, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and have the ability to be flexible when needed. 

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Education

Education:

  • A minimum of a BSME or a related technical discipline (e.g., Physics) is required with a MSME a strong plus.  Relevant work experience can be substituted for education. 

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of experience developing small high volume electronic products that require acute attention to signal integrity and operate at extremely high speeds is a requirement for this position.
  • Experience developing products for high end data center products used for Ethernet, Infiniband, and other standards.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Education:

  • Knowledge of what goes into manufacturing of multi gigabit IC’s as well as other data center products.
  • Understanding of molding, tooling, stamping, and assembling processes of miniature electronics.
  • Acute attention to detail with excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to assist with the capture, tracking, and closure of action items resulting from review meetings.
  • A basic understanding of electronics, their components, and the manufacturing process to make them into finished goods.
  • Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, and web-based applications (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Experience delivering presentations in support of design reviews.
