Chief Executive Officer
Beginning in 2014, Raouf Halim served as CEO and co-founder of icClarity, developing a disruptive 3D video capture solution for applications in AR/VR, mobile, and automotive markets. Prior to icClarity he served for ten years as president, CEO, & board member of Mindspeed Technologies, where he rebuilt the executive team, repositioned their product portfolio, and executed a successful growth strategy for high-performance analog. Previously, Halim was a senior vice president and general manager at Conexant Systems, Inc., formerly Rockwell Semiconductor Systems. Mr. Halim joined Rockwell in 1991 and held a number of senior business and technical positions, including vice president, and design leader for VLSI engineering. He began his career at Hayes Microcomputer Products developing first-of-their-kind technologies and applications. Mr. Halim’s Master’s degree in electrical engineering was earned at Georgia Institute of Technology, and his bachelor’s degree in communications and electro physics was received from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. Mr. Halim holds 14 patents, and is active in a number of industry and community organizations as well as several advisory roles within the University of California, Irvine.
Chief Financial Officer
Dave Mier joined us in December 2015 as Chief Financial Officer. With more than thirty years of experience, Mr. Mier most recently served as V.P. Finance, Americas Controller for Yahoo!. Previously, Dave spent 19 years at Sun Microsystems in positions of increasing responsibility, including Finance Director for Northern Europe, based in the UK, and V.P. Finance for the Americas Time Zone. Dave holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from U.C. Santa Barbara and a MBA from California State University Fullerton.
VP of Engineering & Chief Technology Officer
Andrew Kim was a Senior Principal Systems Engineer at Intersil Corp. where he defined and modeled system architectures and new processing blocks for their high-speed wireline products. From 2008 to 2010, he was a Senior Engineer at Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co. Ltd. where he developed RF signal integrity solutions for spectrum sensing and interference cancellation. From 2001 to 2008, he was a Senior Systems Architect at Quellan Inc. where he developed signal integrity solutions for both wired and wireless high-speed channels. Andrew received his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for work in signal processing specialized for stochastic systems.
Vice President of Operations and Channel Management
Charito Alcantara is responsible for Spectra7’s Operations, Distribution Channels, Supply Chain, Quality and Customer Support. Prior to joining Spectra7, Charito was employed by Monster Products for 5 years where she held Operations roles in strategic procurement and supply chain management across multiple product lines. Before Monster Products, she developed and managed multiple product categories including networking, home security, cordless phones, VOIP and internet services at CompUSA, which she grew to over $400M in annual revenue over a 3-year period. She started her management career in retail, e-commerce, distribution, purchasing, inventory control, merchandising and operations at Fry’s Electronics, a leading consumer electronics retailer in Silicon Valley, where she worked for 10 years. Charito earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business at the University of Santo Tomas.
Chief Marketing Officer
John Mitchell was formerly Senior Director of Marketing at Quellan, a leading developer of high performance Analog Semiconductors until it was acquired by Intersil Corporation in 2009. Prior to his roles at Quellan and Intersil, John held senior management and strategic positions at several startups including LuxN and Scintera as well as Fortune 500 companies Unisys and Northrop Grumman. With a BS in Engineering from Purdue University, John established himself in design with half a dozen patents before moving into management. For the last 10 years, John has focused on product marketing with major design wins at multiple tier one consumer and data center OEMs.
Vice President of Interconnect Products
Ebrahim Abunasrah has spent the last 3 years in Dongguan, China as an Engineering Manager with Molex Inc., one of the top Interconnect companies in the world. He managed and trained an engineering team focused on manufacturing, product design, and testing analysis. While in China, he spent a great deal of time interfacing with customers, and was involved in growing and developing several other product development teams in Asia. This direct contact with the end user gives Ebrahim unique perspective into product design and user experience. Before moving to China, Ebrahim was involved in designing and developing next generation products for the high-speed Datacom industry. Ebrahim Abunasrah is responsible for growing and managing the data center product line for Spectra7 Microsystems. This includes helping to create the vision for the products and the business strategy.
VP, General Counsel and Corporate Development
Cynthia Cole is responsible for Spectra7’s strategic transactions and global legal activities and policies. She has extensive experience advising boards of directors and executive leadership on global strategy, M&A, corporate governance, legal and compliance, IP, and operational matters.
Prior to Spectra7, Cynthia was General Counsel at IIX and The Flexitallic Group and held senior legal positions at Cisco, Global Crossing and MicroStrategy Inc. Ms Cole began her career in the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster. Cynthia earned her Honors BA from the University of Utah and her JD from Northwestern University School of Law.
